If yes, I would highly recommend the following book to you since you won't be able to put it down until you've finished it:
"The Reluctant Husband" by Lynne Graham; Ontario, Canada: Harlequin Romance Series; 1998
Let's now go into greater detail about what I enjoyed most about this book for a moment:
The fact that this book was about a man and a woman who had formerly been married and were passionately in love but had their marriage annulled due to sad circumstances is perhaps what I appreciated about it the best. As a result, they had not spoken in years. Three weeks later, the woman's ex-husband reappeared in her life, and they were once more deeply in love.
After over 200 pages of this emotional whirlwind, the man and lady agreed to try it again, and they lived happily ever after. The man and woman's pure desire and all the love they found were true love. And when the tale comes to a close, the reader learns that the woman is expecting a child, which strengthens their bond even further. I believe you'll like this book.
At a party, author Brian Stone notices Mandy being bothered by some men. After saving her, he scolds her for not asking for assistance. He initially fails to notice that she is deaf. He doesn't learn what happened to her until she collides at his house and he keeps her there to take care of her.
When rebels stormed Mandy's home, she was living in Africa with her missionary parents. Mandy's mother tells her to keep quiet while hiding with her in a closet, but she whimpers out of fear. Her mother shields her daughter from the bullets that ultimately murder her when the rebels find them. Mandy has been silent.
Mandy has been in love with Brian ever since she first laid eyes on him, but Brian is unaware of this. Since he is not familiar with sign language, he is unaware of her continuous "I love you" gestures towards him. Mandy is a likeable protagonist in this tender, beautiful love story. Mandy is a really feisty woman, but there is some tension because there is a woman that wants Brian.
The Great Dane Liza, who belongs to Brian but falls head over heels in love with Mandy right away and follows her around, is one humorous aspect of the stories. Liza went to Mandy, softly took Mandy's hand in her teeth, and dragged her to Brian when Brian merely asked where Mandy was. She repeats this action a few times.
